How To Make The Beyoncé Sandwich

You know you’ve reached the top of your game when you get a sandwich named after you.  David Beckham, Steven Spielberg and Tom Brady (just to name a few) all have their own lunch-time namesakes. Today, we’d like to add another item to the menu of celebrity-inspired meals.

It was only destiny that this child would eventually get her own sandwich.  Known for her love of Popeye’s Fried Chicken, this Texas toast of the town needed a sandwich worthy of hip-hip royalty.  And fresh off her sensational Superbowl performance, the hardest working mom, wife and entertainer in showbiz has finally gotten it.   A sandwich so bootylicious even Blue Ivy and Jay will be throwing up the Roc sign of approval!

Alas, we give you…

The BEYONCÉ Sandwich

First you’ll need the following ingredients:

-Texas toast
-Bleu cheese crumbles
-3 strips of bacon
-Popeye’s fried chicken
-Hot sauce
-Jelly
-An onion ring

STEP ONE: Toast the bread

Since Miss B hails from Texas, we will obviously be using Texas toast.  Put 2 slices of toast in the oven for approximately 2 1/2 renditions of the ‘Single Ladies’ dance.

STEP TWO. Add a layer of Destiny’s Child Bacon

  Three is never a crowd when it comes to 2 things: Destiny’s Child and bacon!  After you lay down the 3 strips of bacon feel free to throw a “I’m a Survivor” fist in the air because yes, this is your moment of glory.

STEP THREE: Pile high with Bleu (Ivy) crumbles.

We had to give a shout out to little Blue Ivy. Sprinkle a heaping mound of bleu cheese crumbles on top of the bacon.  Straight up fierce, we know.

STEP FOUR: Throw down the fried chicken!

Add a layer of fried chicken.  Did you know Popeye’s fried chicken is Beyonce’s favorite food?  And you thought you couldn’t love her more than you already did….

STEP FIVE: Bring the heat in.

In honor of Beyonce’s signature fragrance ‘Heat’, add a few dashes of hot sauce to the fried chicken!

STEP SIX: Get ready…

… for this jelly. Add a thin layer of jelly to the top piece of texas toast.  We are crazy in love with the way the jelly cuts all the savory flavors of the bacon and bleu cheese.

STEP EIGHT: Put a ring on it.

It’s not even a question if you’re gonna like it, so just go ahead….put a (onion) ring on it.

FINAL STEP: SEE IT IN ACTION!

And that’s how you make The BEYONCÉ Sandwich….
